Colchester United duo Owen Goodman and Joe Taylor have been called up to the England U20 (standby) and Wales U21 squads respectively for the upcoming international matches.
Goodman has been put on the standby list for England U20 as the Young Lions prepare for their next Men’s Euro Elite matches; they are set to face off against Germany and Italy over the next couple of weeks.
The Crystal Palace loanee was in the last squad for the games against Romania and Portugal, as well as taking part in an U20 training camp at St George’s Park in September. He is on the standby list and could get called into action for the next two matches.
Joe Taylor will be hoping to continue his fine goalscoring season when away with the Welsh U21 squad for their two games in Euro U21 qualification.
Taylor has already had two outings for the Welsh youngsters, and will be wanting to more appearances when Wales host Iceland and Denmark at Newport County’s Rodney Parade in the next couple of weeks.
