Matt Yates has come through the academy at the U's and has signed a new deal in June 2023 to remain at the club.
The right-back had a successful couple of years at the academy, breaking through to the U21s before cementing his place in the squad.
Upon signing the new deal, he said: "It feels great that my performances over the course of the season have been good enough to earn a new contract. I’m very excited to crack on now and I can’t wait for it all to start again."
