Yilmaz Aksoy joined the club ahead of the 2023/24 season from Charlton Athletic.
The U's goalkeeping coach has a CV that includes time at Arsenal and Leyton Orient as well as a couple of caps for the Turkish youth teams.
His playing career was brought to a halt in 2013, but he has continued within the football environment, leading to a stint at Charlton Athletic prior to his time at Colchester United.
Yilmaz arrived at the club in August 2023 following the departure of Graham Stack to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
